Need ideas for an awesome 30th birthday gift for a guy. Please help!?

My husband is turning 30 and I want to surprise him with a really cool birthday gift. However, he has very few hobbies or interests. He likes History so any DVD sets you could recommend would be great. He also likes to fly fish but I got him a fly tying kit last year and fly fishing lessons prior to that. I'm hosting a BBQ with our friends as a surprise. Any BBQ themed gift suggestions? He just got a new BBQ and tools, but any other ideas? Please help! I really want this birthday to be memorable as it is the big 30. Thank you!!

You are such a good wife. Im sure it will be a memorable occasion. Is there any particular period of History he enjoys like Russian, Greek etc? And maybe a weekend fly fishing trip somewhere later on?You can get personalized chefs bbq aprons. Or how about thirty of something. Like 30 balloons, 30 postage stamps with family photo on them, 30 favorite packs of gum or candy, 31 flavors baskin robbins as he begins his 31st year? Gilligan's Island DVD offers a series of amusing episodes as the season premiere of "Two in a pond "in which the distribution is initially stranded on the island.
