fly fishing for carp!

seen an article i flyfishing mag suggesting that because of the short trout season then THEY may consider fly for CARP thats new sport! any ideas or preferences folks?

Interesting to say the least - I know they do come up to the surface but I didn't think they fed there but I guess you learn something everyday...
