Large Black
What do you call the large black and white coloring in pages that you used to get when you were a kid?

They were quite large and I think they came in a tube. I also think they came with felt tip markers?!?!?! Can anyone tell me what they were called and or if they are still available? Thanks.

Yea, but I never got one as a child. My daughter did. They're called posters. Go find a WalMart.

The Giant Panda is easily recognized by their distinctive large black patches around the eyes, ears, and its round body. Scientists know why these unusual bears are black and white, some speculate that fat color provides effective camouflage in the dappled shade environment snow and rock. His thick coat of wool keeps you warm in the cold forests of its habitat.

The giant panda was thought to be a family member Procyonidae however, that in fact belongs to the order Carnivora.

Carnivora is the scientific word for carnivore however, the giant panda has a diet that is 99% bamboo. Giant Pandas with large molars and jaw muscles strong for crushing bamboo difficult. He is twenty-five species of bamboo are eaten by pandas nature, as dracocephala and Fargesia rufa Fargesia. There are only a few bamboo species are widespread in high altitudes pandas live. Bamboo leaves contain higher levels of the protein is derived. You can eat other foods such as honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges and bananas, if available.

The pandas were hunted their habitat at a higher altitude and limited space available. The advantage of wood obtained from harvesting bamboo has destroyed a significant part food supply for the giant panda. The wild giant panda population has declined 50 percent from 1973 to 1984 in six regions of China. Pandas giants can usually live to 20-30 years in captivity.

The panda is an endangered species due to habitat loss continued and a birth rate low, both in the wild and in captivity. China has only 239 in captivity (128 of them at Wolong and 67 in Chengdu NNR), and another 27 pandas living outside the country. It is estimated that about 1590 giant pandas live in nature. However, a study in 2006 via DNA analysis estimated that there may be as much as 2,000-3,000 pandas in the wild.

Scientists used to think giant pandas spent most of their lives alone, with men and women only meeting during the breeding season. Studies Recent show small groups of pandas share a vast territory and sometimes meet outside the breeding season.

The giant panda is a mammal subtropics. However, unlike most bears, the giant panda does not hibernate.

Adult giant pandas measuring about 5 feet long and about 2.5 meters high at the shoulder, the men are 1 / larger than females 5 males can weigh up to 115 kg or 253 lbs. The giant panda has the longest tail of the bear family, but is 4-6 cm long.

Pandas and other wildlife babies are deceiving many people find that animals thicker and heavier to be cute, but giant pandas are as dangerous as any other bear.

Unlike many other animals in ancient China, pandas were rarely thought to have a medical use. In the past, pandas were considered rare and noble creatures, the mother of Emperor Wen of Han was buried with a panda skull in her vault. The Emperor Taizong of Tang is said given Japan two pandas and a sheet of panda skin as a sign of goodwill.
