Guide Waders
I am getting back into fly fishing after being away for many years. I am looking to invest in a new pair of?

Waders. I have been looking at Simms, Orvis and LL Bean. I am hoping to spend around $300 and searching for the best waders with the best warranty. I will be fishing around 10 days a month in the streams of northern NJ. I have looked at the Orvis silver label and pro guide, LL Bean helix and rapid river and the Simms headwater and freestone. Any help guiding to a selection will be helpful

i have had a pair of orvis silver label that i used guiding. they lasted for years. wore them almost every day for 4 months in alaska. they are a quality product.

Size Duck Decoy - Decoys are available in three sizes: LifeSize (standard), Over-Sized (Magnum) and Super Magnum. When it comes to the law while, The purpose of the use of duck decoys is to attract ducks in a row, then pull them into shotgun range. But if the ducks can not see your decoys far then your bait will not do much for you. This is my motivation for using large Magnum and Super Magnum decoys.

Keel or weighted Keel Decoys - With the move is a key element in any successful propagation of the keel of the water still have their place in the days with light winds. A keel decoy moves in the slightest of breezes. Keel water are also the lightest option to walk and provide hunters the greatest degree mobility. The disadvantages are that the days of wind that Bob is not realistic in the water and not yourself in the water when it was launched.

The advantages of a weighted keel decoys include the ability to self-correct when thrown into the water and the bait may raise the water of the highest in the high winds without lamination. On the other hand, with a bag full of weighted keel decoys in the back is much heavier compared to water keel decoys.

There are two alternatives to hunting with the best lures floating situation. If water Buying and weighted keel decoys, or buy all the tanks and turn around the keel if necessary.

Match the species who are hunting - Many hunters ducks the question again: What kind of duck decoys should I buy? Ducks best bait lures are the same species. When the mallard duck hunting you need to use decoys mallard. If you hunt scaup Bluebill will use decoys. Even with 100 decoys for mallards, pintails and wood ducks, I always found wood ducks landing with the decoy duck wood ducks and mallards with decoys.

Full Council v. Shell Decoys Field - From my experience over the duck hunting around the body and shells into piles of movement in cereal fields and sandbars along the river have never seen a noticeable difference in performance between these two types of lures. A difference most between the two styles is the mobility and storage reservoirs are stackable. It is certainly much easier to transport on foot or by boat lures lures shell fuller body. Deposits were also much less space when stored in the offseason. When using lures you shell recommend using issues that really increases the visibility of the trap away ducks and makes the bait more realistic.

The materials used in construction Duck Decoy - Several years ago, callers were wood first, then came lures Cork. Both wood and cork hold paint very well, but both materials are very heavy and have little abuse. Foam Decoys Herter presented with head of plastic duck with the advantages of being light and unsinkable. The draw back of the foam also makes a misuse of the hand very well and paint very well. The plastic has become the main material of modern duck decoys. The plastic is lightweight, has good paint and is extremely durable, and expensive compared other materials. In summary, most hunting situations, I recommend duck decoys made of plastic.
