Axis Fly
Axis Fly
four-axis ?
Sikorsky will build four modernized Black Hawk prototypes. UH-60M No. 1 was originally a UH-60A and will be the M-Model performance and handling testbed. UH-60M No. 2, scheduled to fly in the 4th quarter of 2003, was remanufactured from a UH-60L and will serve as the avionics test aircraft. Flight testing will focus on the integrated cockpit displays, the Embedded GPS Inertial (EGI) navigation system and the four-axis fully-coupled autopilot.
O.K. John L is just wrong. I think you are thinking of how this works in Microsoft Flight Sim.
The Four Axis in a helo are
Pitch, roll, yaw, and collective.
The 4th axis for collective is something a regular plane doesn't have. But this is critical to control for a "real" autopilot for a helo. This also allows for single pilot IFR operation which is a really big deal for a helo.
Hope that helps..

The radio controlled helicopter gyroscope is an electrical device which is made for the body of the helicopter can rotate on its axis.
The gyroscope is placed between the rotor back and receiver. It can detect the slightest chance in the rotation and offsets the strength to change the angle of the rotor, creating a force on the opposite side off the force.
There are a lot of money that is available on the market and the price of each is different. The tour price depends on the characteristics it has in the works. The most advanced, the more it will cost.
But above all, the gyroscopes provide the simple task of controlling axis of rotation of the Heli.
As a beginner, a constant grip would be good to go. The constant heading hold you addon allows for complete control on one side, back and forward the proposals, keeping the tail of the helicopter yet.
Sometimes, this feature can be useful because allows the learner has complete control of the helicopter without worrying about the tail.
The brands most widely used of RC helicopter money is available in the market include Futaba, JR Futaba to be The most widely used and is available in many models.
Futaba has a wide range of Radio Control Helicopter Gyro with advanced face as AAVC Active angular velocity control system. These characteristics make it very stable ride and precise, yet functioning.
This new series is The Futaba GY, which is made for all different models, such as the GY240, GY401, GY502, etc.
All my experiences have been easy to gyroscopes configure. Just follow the instructions and you should have no problems.
If you are considering getting into the RC helicopter hobby, will certainly need to know about RC helicopter gyros and how they work. Fortunately, if you read the section of this article, you do!
