Fly fishermen create their own (or buy) artificial flies because they are far more hardy and longer lasting than a real insect would be. In addition, for many of the fishermen, the real sport is in catching a fish on a fly which they themselves created from scratch. Flies can be made from any number of artificial, natural or synthetic materials and in many instances, do not even resemble an actual insect, fish, or animal. In addition, the artificial flies can be kept for generations with little or no maintenance whereas the real insects would be much harder to care for and maintain in usable condition. Also, the purist fly-fisherman would be totally revolted by the thought of actually using a living insect as bait. You would have as much luck trying to talk them into using worms. ;o)

TOOLS & EQUIPMENTS SAFETY IN INDUSTRIAL PLANTS

Hand and portable power tools can inflict injuries if used improperly or carelessly. This topic will help recognize the potential hazards involved in operation of hand and power tools so you will be better able to avoid accidents.

Some basic causes involving tools, which lead to accidents, are:

* Defective tools like hammers, axes, screwdrivers, shovels, spades might be loose, cracked, broken. Workers can be injured if the handles loosen or break and tool head flies off.

* Using the wrong tool like using wrong kind and size of wrench. The wrench will slip if the opening is too large and fits loosely on the nut causing damage to it and injure the worker.

* Right tool, wrong method. On an adjustable wrench pressure should always be applied on fixed jaw and not on the moveable jaw. Never use a "cheater" on it. It is a length of pipe put over the wrench to increase leverage. It will cause mashed fingers or broken limbs.

* All tools should have proper maintenance. Handles and guards should be intact. Safety devices should be installed and checked regularly. Worn or deformed tools should be repaired or discarded.

* Electrical powered tools must be properly wired, insulated and grounded. All power tools like rotary blades; bits and wheels must not be cracked, out-of-round, excessively worn. Since some machines moving parts like powered saws and there is always risk of crushing or cutting of fingers and toes if not paid attention. Make sure pins and collars used on these machines are all intact.

* Pneumatic tools are operated by air pressure, some tools have arbors for mounting wheels, saw blades etc, always check to see these are securely mounted so that these cannot fly off to cause damage or injury. Always turn off and release air pressure before disconnecting air supply hose. Protect your eyes, hands and face while using these tools.

* Gasoline powered tools can cause fire and explosion hazards because of fuel flammable vapors. These tools should be refueled after they have been cooled down and in well-ventilated areas.

Dandruff affects the scalp and causes flakes of skin to appear - it is a common condition. Our skin cells are forever renewing themselves.

1. Add six spoonfuls water, two spoonfuls pure vinegar and relate it on the scalp with cotton wool before going to bed. Tie a towel approximately your head to protect the pillow. Wash your hair next morning. After shampooing, rinse again with vinegar water. Carry on this once a week for at least three months.

2. Join a spoonful of lemon juice with two spoonful of vinegar and massage on the scalp. Wash your hair with an egg shampoo following this.

3. Soak fenugreek (methi) seeds in yogurt while sleeping and apply the curd on your scalp for half an hour previous to washing in the morning.

4. Hair washed with methi seed stick prevents dandruff, falling hair, baldness and dandruff custody the hair long, healthy and black. Just soak the fenugreek seeds overnight in water to soften the seeds and crush in the morning to make paste. Before hairwash, apply this paste on scalp and hair and go away it on for half an hour. Wash off with shampoo later.

5. Hit two eggs and add two tablespoons of water to it. Wet the hair and be relevant the egg mixture over the hair. Now massage your scalp and let the combination on for ten minutes to fifteen minutes. Then rinse the hair with lukewarm water. This will keep both dandruff and hairfall difficulty away from you.

I see you are an avid angler. If you want a decent kit to start off with, here are a couple really nice kits for whatever flies you want to start tying.

If you are sure that you will make fly tying a hobby, (which will most likely happen), then you may want to consider a higher end vise with professional quality tools. It would save a few bucks in the long run.Only you can make that decision.

Looking for a low cost airline to travel fast and travel cheap? Five years ago, low budget travellers chose trains over flights. This meant one had to spare nothing less than three days to get to Delhi from Bangalore. The picture is drastically different today. Indians are travelling by flights like never before. This sea (or air) change is partly on account of the changing economy. The surge of low cost airlines in India with Indigo Airlines, Jet Airways Konnect Airlines, SpiceJet, JetLite, Kingfisher Red, Air India Express and GoAir, has made flying possible for any one.

Low cost carriers are rapidly gaining market share, albeit at the expense of their full service counterparts. This is primarily because of the way low cost carriers (LCCs) have been able to control their costs at the time of recession. The Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation has predicted that LCCs of India will garner a sumptuous 70% of the domestic market share by 2010. The challenges there could be the cost of aviation fuel (although it has gown down tremendously from last year), low yields and the lack of appropriate infrastructure. Despite everything, LCCS are fast gaining market share. IndiGo Airlines, said to be the most popular LCC, has a market share of 11%, while SpiceJet has a little more than 10% of pie. Kingfisher Red, earlier Air Deccan, captured a stunning 15% of the market share and JetLite was able to achieve 7% of the airline market share.

These figures look appealing because for most people the pros of low cost carriers weigh heavily over the cons. If you are not looking for expensive frills in an airline and your only intent is to reach from one distant part of India to another, low cost airlines are meant for you. The major difference here is that low cost carriers do not offer complimentary food and beverages. They do have a selection of snacks one can purchase though. In fact, airlines such as IndiGo and SpiceJet even allow you to carry your foods.

In a strange move, Air India recently shelved its plan to launch a low cost carrier. This is a surprising turnaround from the national airline company at a time when most airlines are trying to make their space in the LCC market. For instance, Jet Air Konnect was recently started by Jet Airways to connect Tier 2 cities. This is yet another low cost carrier from Jet Airways after they launched JetLite in 2007. Kingfisher is another leading airline of India that offers low carriers with its Kingfisher Red division. Kingfisher Red is the only low cost carrier that also offers steaming hot food to fliers.

With their low fares and punctuality of services, low cost airlines are becoming wildly popular. They also have new aircrafts as an added advantage. LCCs also offer easy bookings and cancellation services online. While earlier they were focussed on important destinations, LCCs today serve smaller cities across India as well. They also offer advantages of in flight entertainment and a well trained staff, which makes travel easy for everyone. What one has to compromise on are leg space, crammed seats and luxury services. That might not mean a lot to those who earn a chance to fly by air their first time! A major disadvantage with LCCs is that one cannot transit from an IndiGo or SpiceJet Airline to another flight, or to another carrier. Some low cost airlines do offer shuttling services on two of their flights on certain sectors. However, most low cost airlines do offer services of air conditioned buses to carry passengers to the aircraft. Most LCCs do not offer frequent flier benefits either.

Homeowners that live in manufactured homes often face confusion and frustration at the worst possible time ---at the 11th hour when they go to buy/sell or refinance their home and the lender pops up with a final condition: an engineer's certification of the manufactured home's foundation. For many this becomes a crisis when the foundation fails to meet the HUD guidelines. To resolve the situation and proceed with the loan, the lender will then require an engineered upgrade, repair or a retrofit on the foundation in order to meet the HUD guidelines. In a state of panic, where does the borrower or lender go for a reliable source to satisfy this condition? Fortunately, there is a vast array of pre-engineered and approved "permanent" foundation systems available in the marketplace so the homeowner or home buyer doesn't have to pay to reinvent the wheel, but the borrower may still have a difficult time discerning which criteria should be used to make a selection. Should they focus on the features and benefits of the individual system or make a decision strictly on the price point? The fact that homeowners are floundering for answers at a time of heightened stress in the loan consummation process accelerates their confusion and leads some borrowers to blame the loan officers or transaction coordinators. "Why didn't anyone know this??" is the frequent outcry. To be fair, the loan officer or processor is likely dealing with their very first FHA and Reverse Mortgage Loan and was not aware that the foundation would be a critical factor in the loan. However, the borrower often views this last minute potentially expensive surprise as a lack of professionalism on the part of the lender and further adds to his/her consternation.

So, for both borrower and lender, it may be important to have a strategy to interpret available repair solutions. Where can a borrower or lender get the best information? A web search for foundation systems may supply you with some of the names prominent in the industry and you can start educating by having product manufacturers feature the benefits of their respective proprietary foundation system. While the safety features alone of a foundation system might normally be a component in a homeowner or home buyer's decision-making, the tick-tock of a loan lock creates a sense of urgency. Plus the unexpected cost of a retrofit at a time of financial need will generally cause most borrowers to think primarily with their pocketbooks. While many manufacturers of foundation systems battle for positioning because they protest that their system has superior load-bearing or seismic resistance, the reality is that the performance of the installer and the turn-around time for the engineer to certify the foundation have become the new standard for structural excellence in the world of FHA manufactured housing financing. By necessity, the merits of the system and its structural efficacy have taken a back seat to the contractor and engineering team that provides the verification that the lender needs to take the loan to underwriting. Since a system is only as good as its installation and certification by an engineer, start by finding a contractor/engineer team that that has a comprehensive knowledge of the FHA and title process, can liaison between borrower and lender to create a seamless transaction, can provide extra structural support for the home as well as the much needed service support for the loan transaction.

Manufactured homes and FHA Insured loans specialty contractors are often knowledgeable about both the plethora of proprietary systems available on the market as well as the costs and the building permit process associated with the installation. They understand that different systems have different merits and the ranking for decision-making has a number of determining factors, some of which are:

1. Size of home

2. Type of home manufacturer and the style

3. Type of perimeter enclosure

4. Type of set-up (above ground or subterranean set)

5. Type of soil/ground/drainage conditions

6. Appurtenant structures to the home

7. Roof load, floor load, live load in the home

8. Local building code requirements determined by wind, flood, seismic activity

9. Best system vs. best value

Therefore, choosing your foundation system should come down to the competency of the retrofitter/engineering team that can economically, expeditiously and successfully accomplish a finished product, wading through the lending requisites, local building department requirements, providing any recorded documentation (like the 433A in California) and the ultimate prize---the engineer's certification letter verifying that the foundation meets the HUD guidelines.

Tippet Size - While your cape is one of the best tools, it is often the first to be blamed for not catching fish. Tippet could be part the most underrated equipment. Tippet material today is fantastic, and it is better than No More Fluoroflex RIO.
